Section 8 Beta Patch v7236 to v7264

This patch updates the beta client with several improvements. A new major feature is multiplayer bot support. Game stability will improve and frequency of game crashes will be reduced with this patch. Various bugs including mouse sensitivity and other issues are fixed along with countless gameplay tweaks to balance the game.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

-Enabled bot support on servers.

-Fixed a number of possible game crash scenarios.

-Fixed a number of functionality bugs and usability issues.

-Many small balance tuning/tweaks.

DETAILS OF CHANGES

Major Bugfixes:

-Fix game crashing if Audio settings in control panel for sound card are set to over 48Khz sample rate.

-Mouse sensitivity will now change based on the sensitivity setting.

-Fixed issue where sometimes binding changes would not be saved on map rotation.

-Fixed issue where tank appeared as a giant box when viewed from more than 100m.

-Lock-On will function more reliably in high latency environments.

-Fixed ranked server crashing on game completion.

-Fixed shield/armor HUD elements to display properly.

Minor Bugfixes:

-Quick and Custom Match buttons will now function.

-Searching for a server now filters correctly.

-Fixed camera issue while attempting to sprint in mid-air.

-Fixed ping icons representing the opposite of what they meant.

-An issue where some servers would not rotate the game map has been fixed.

-The Gamepad will no longer vibrate when the vibrate option is off.

-Damage increasing passive gear will now correctly apply a bonus to equipment damage as well as weapon damage.

-Overdrive collision detection was improved in order to prevent unintentional self kills.

Overall Balance:

-Costs have been changed for most deployables:

Supply Depot Cost 30 -> 20

Sensor Array Cost 30 -> 20

Minigun Turret Cost 50 -> 40

Missile Turret Cost 50 -> 40

AA Turret Cost 70 -> 40

Tank Cost 125 -> 140

-Sprint speed has increased slightly.

-Friendly Fire kick thresholds have been updated to be more lenient.

-Tanks will now deal less damage to tanks of the same faction, reducing incidents of friendly fire.

-Weapon accuracy will recover while reloading instead of being locked at its last value.

-Passive gear which increase shield capacity will moderately increase the time it takes shields to regenerate to full.

-Overdrive damage has been adjusted to be more closely related to relative velocity.

-The tank will now take longer to repair with the repair tool.

-The repair tool passive gear will now increase repair rate by 15% rather than 20%.

-Hacking a Control Point now takes 8 seconds instead of 10.

-Defusing a Control Point now takes 12 seconds instead of 10.

-Capturing a Control Point now takes 40 seconds instead of 45.

-Micro Sensors will no longer have a visible IFF for the opposing team.

-Damage dealt when dropping on structures and vehicles has been reduced.

Weapon Balance:

-Mortars deal 40% less damage vs. players, but have a larger effective blast radius.

-Some of the Shotgun’s damage will now pierce shields at close range.

-Shotgun reticule will now update to reflect when a target is within piercing range, as per other weapons.

-The Missile Launcher will now deal more damage throughout its explosion radius, relying less on direct hits.

DCM Balance:

-DCMs will now award Teamwork Score and Requisition Points for participation.

-Convoy Missiles now deal increased damage.

-Convoy armor has been reduced.

-Feat Siege Killer now requires Shotgun to complete.

-Feat Support Killer now requires Machine Gun to complete.

-Feat Repair now requires 3 score events to complete rather than 4.

-DCM actors now have slightly lower health and slightly faster repair rates.

-Feat Stealth now requires 20 seconds rather than 25 to complete.

-Feat Micro Sensor now requires 120 seconds rather than 200 seconds to complete.

-Returning the Intel now takes 12 seconds instead of 6.

-Defusing the Bomb now takes 12 seconds instead of 6.

-The amount of time available to activate the beacon during the Outpost DCM is now 120 seconds instead of 90 seconds.
