LP-Calc v1.01 Details
LP-Calc is a fully functional scientific calculator program that can be used as an alternative to the Microsoft Calculator program that comes with Microsoft Windows. As well as doing basic calculations, LP-Calc can also be used to assist with programming as it understands functions (and some statements) from VBScript and JavaScript. If you are familiar with Visual Basic programming it is suggested that you use the VBScript functions, as most are identical to Visual Basic functions. As mentioned, LP-Calc also supports JavaScript functions, but these are more limited than VBScript functions.

Introduction
------------
LP-Calc is a fully functional scientific calculator program that can be used as an alternative to the Microsoft Calculator program that comes with Microsoft Windows. LP-Calc can also be used to assist with programming as it understands functions (and some statements) from VBScript and JavaScript. If you are familiar with Visual Basic programming it is suggested that you use the VBScript functions, as most are identical to Visual Basic functions. As mentioned, LP-Calc also supports JavaScript functions, but these are more limited than VBScript functions and LP-Calc's calculator keypad will be disabled when in JavaScript mode.

How to use LP-Calc
------------------
To use LP-Calc, simply type the calculation you would like it to make (including any functions) in the Input field and press the RETURN key (or click the "OK" button). The answer will then appear in the Output field. You can swap between using VBScript and JavaScript modes by selecting the appropriate mode next to "Function Type:". This, however, is only required if you wish to make use of LP-Calc's scientific side. If you wish to enter a statement (for example to set the value of a variable) start the input line with an exclamation mark ("!"), e.g. type "!x=52" to set the variable x to the value of 52. LP-Calc also has two built-in functions when being used in VBScript mode. These are "Ans", which can be used to represent the text currently being displayed in the Output field, and "Pi", which can be used to represent the constant, Pi (approximately 3.14, although LP-Calc can display it rounded to fifteen significant figures).

Keypad
------
If you are using VBScript mode, you can also enter your calculations using the keypad, to the right of the main part of the window. However, the keypad can be hidden if you prefer, by clicking on the "<< Keypad" button. To make LP-Calc show the keypad again simply click on the "Keypad >>" button that replaces the "<< Keypad" button when it is hidden. As mentioned above, the keypad cannot be used when in JavaScript mode.

The keypad has a few special functions built into it:
Pi - inserts the Pi function (explained above, in How to use LP-Calc)
Rnd - inserts the Rnd function, which returns a random number between 0 and 1
Ans - inserts the Ans function (explained above, in How to use LP-Calc)
Pi*a^2 - inserts "^2*Pi", which can be used to calculate the area of a circle with a radius of the value you entered before clicking on the "Pi*a^2" button
Exp - inserts either "E" or "*10^", depending on the type of data directly before the cursor in the Input field. This is intended to be used to input numbers in standard exponential form. "E" represents "*10^" if used between two numeric figures (the second of which must be an integer), e.g. "1.6E4" will be treated the same as "1.6*10^4"
a^2 - inserts "^2", which is used to calculate the square of the number directly before it
a^(1/2) - inserts "^(0.5)", which is used to calculate the square root of the number directly before it
a^b - inserts a "^" simbol, which is used to calculate the number directly before it to the power of the number entered after it
+/- - alternately swaps the last numeric value in the Input field between being positive and negative in value
Get: x/y/z/c/k - inserts either x, y, z, c or k, which you can use as your own variables
Set: x/y/z/c/k - sets variable x, y, z, c or k to whatever is currently entered in the Input field
