LP-NetChess Details
LP-NetChess is an online chess game that allows you to play against anyone in the world. It supports both live games (where you make your moves quickly) and long games (where you might only move once every few hours, days or even weeks). You do not need to stay logged into LP-NetChess for your games to continue - you only need to log in to move if you wish, although if you stay logged in you will be able to tell when it's your move in a game or if someone has requested a new game with you.

Other features supported by LP-NetChess include the option of receiving e-mails or even SMS to alert you when it's your move, and the ability to play some chess variants as well as standard chess.

Introduction
------------
LP-NetChess is an online chess game that allows you to play against anyone in the
world. It supports both live games (where you make your moves quickly) and long games
(where you might only move once every few hours, days or even weeks). You do not need
to stay logged into LP-NetChess for your games to continue - you only need to log in to
move if you wish, although if you stay logged in you will be able to tell when it's
your move in a game or if someone has requested a new game with you.

The tray icon will turn yellow if you have unanswered game requests or green if it's
your move in one or more of your chess games. You can also configure LP-NetChess to
alert you by playing a sound.

Starting a game quickly
-----------------------
The quickest way to start playing a game (if no-one is currently requesting a game with
you) is to simply open up the Public Requests window (from the tray menu or the My
Games and Requests window), select a game request from the list and click "Accept
Request". You can also find people to play on the Scoreboard - just select their name
and click "Request Game".

Requesting a game
-----------------
- Open up the Request Game window from the tray menu, the My Games and Requests window,
or the Scoreboard if you have a player selected.
- If you want to request a game with a specific player, enter their LPID in the
"Request game with" field, or simply select it from the dropdown box if you've played
them before. If you want to make a public request (i.e. anyone can accept it and
start a game against you), just leave the field blank.
- Select the type of chess game you wish to play from the "Game type" dropdown box.
- Select which colour you would like to be (white always goes first).
- Select the maximum time you wish to allow yourself and your opponent to make each
move, under "Move time limit". The limit can range from 10 minutes to 4 weeks, as
LP-NetChess allows you to play both live games and long games.
- Click "Request Game". Now all you have to do is wait for your opponent (anyone in
the case of public requests) to accept your request.

Game slots
----------
When you create your LPID you will begin with five game slots. This means that you can
play up to five games at a time on LP-NetChess. You can purchase additional game slots
whenever you wish and even earn free game slots by referring other people (by telling
your friends or by linking to us from your own website) to certain Lamer Productions
services. The referral system may be changed or even removed at any time. Current
details can be found at http://refer.lamerproductions.com/
