Battlezone was one of the first games I ever started modding, and is where my interest in game mods comes from.
The basic idea of BZ is that its a 1st person shooter/RTS. In short, you can build a base, units, and lead them personally into battle. It plays like any RTS would, you collect resouces to fun the building of new buildings and units, but with the flip side of a 1st person shooter. Personally, its a great concept for a game to take, and made for years of fun, with a good story line, and variety of missions, from search and destroy, to survive an onslaught of enemies.

X-Mod is a mod I created which totally reshapes the way the game is played. Its mainly a multilayer mod, and does many new things not before seen in the game. These include planes, super weapons, Capitol-sized cruisers and destroyers, new weapons, and a bunch of pilot based weapons. The mod completely changes both the ISDF and Scion races with a complete set of new units and buildings.
X-mod takes advantage of the 1.3pb3 patch, with a new hover assault tank class (hovering tank with rotating turret) along with many other features.
I'm happy to say its one of the featured mods in the BZ community.
