One of Capcom's all-time great franchises returns with this re-envisioned modern version of Bionic Commando. 10 years after the original gamers are once again playing the role of Nathan Spencer (aka "Rad" Spencer), a highly decorated government operative that distinguished himself in battle against a group known as the Imperials in events in the original Bionic Commando.

Spencer gets betrayed by his commander Super Joe and gets sentenced to death for crimes Spencer didn't commit. However, a terrorist group Bio-Rain destroys Ascension City with am experimental weapon and takes control of the city. Super Joe offer Spencer a chance at clearing his name if he defeats Bio-Rain. Spencer springs back into action with a new improved bionic arm.
