Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasion - Valerik Fourth Age Elves and Dwarves Unit mod

This Mod allows several Elven and Dwarven units to be recruited in the campaign by the Reunited Kingdom, and Rohan, respectively.

Installation

It is strongly recomended that you make a back up of all the files that will be replaced by this pack.

Copying the export_descr_buildings, export_descr_unit, descr_model_battle, and export_units.txt files into your documents folder

BEFORE you replace them with my modified files will allow you to restore your original game in case of critical failures you are

unable to fix.

In order to get the files up and running, copy the export_descr_buildings, export_descr_unit, and descr_model_battle into the

Rome-Total War/bi/ci/data folder.

The last file, export_units.txt needs to be coppied into the Rome-Total War/bi/ci/data/text folder.

These files will REPLACE the original files in those folders, this is why it is important to make a backup of all the files these

will be replacing in case you encounter any problems!

Major Campaign Changes

- Elves of Ithilian are recruitable under the highest level of barracks within Emyn Arnen.

- Elven Longbow are recruitable within Minas Tirith, at the highest government building level.

- Elven Kingswords are recruitable within the same locations as White Company

- Elven Realmriders are recruitable in Dol Amroth.

- All elven units have been given a three turn minimum recruitment time in order to keep the percentage of

elven/human units to a reasonable level and to force the player to make a considerable sacrifice of time

in order to develop any meaningful amount of elven units.

- Dwarven Miners will now be recruitable by any city of Rohan that is able to develop a mine.

Their unit size has been decreased from the original level set by the FATW dev team, to reflect their limited scarcity.

- Dwarves of Aglarond will now be recruitable by Rohan once Aglarond has produced the second largest level of Barracks.

- Dwarves of Aglarond have been given the "command" attribute to reflect the boost of confidence any army would recieve by having

these elite dwarven units within their ranks.

- Dwarven Ballista and Catapults have been added to the custom battles for the Kingdom of Rohan.

- Dwarven Ballista and Catapults are to be made recruitable by the Kingdom of Rohan.

- Both Dwarven units have been given a two turn minimum recruitment tiem in order to keep the percentage of dwarven/human units

in any Rohirim army to a reasonable level and to force the player to make a considerable sacrifice of time in order to develop

any meaningful amount of dwarven units in their army.

- Unit descriptions for many of the units involved have been edited, or completely re-written in a few cases.

Changes to the Custom Battles

- All Elven units are now also recruitable under Reunited Kingdom.

- All Dwarven units are now also recruitable under the Kingdom of Rohan.
