Unreal Tournament 3 - HedonsDog's Bleeder Mutator v 1.0
This mutator will cause damage every 2 seconds. The only way to stay alive is to pick up health or do damage to others. A % of the damage you do to others is reflected back to you as health. Health %, and bleed effects are configurable, and you can turn off the bleed effect at 25 health.
This is only available for PC at the moment. I need to learn how to cook it for console.
HedonsDog's Bleeder Mutator
Version: 1
Description:
This mutator will cause all players/bots to slowly bleed to death. The only way to stay
alive is to either pick up health or to kill. The effects are all configurable.
Configuration Options:
Health Ratio: 1% - 100%
Stop bleed at 25: True / False.
Bleed Amount when health > 25: 1 - 5
Bleed Amount when health < 25: 1 - 5
It works like this:
* Every 2 seconds you will take damage based on the bleed amount and your current health.
* If you wish to prevent "bleed to death" a checkbox will turn off the bleed effect
at 25 health.
* When you do damage to another player/bot, health is reflected back to you based on the
damage caused after shield absorbtion and the health ratio configured. For example, If
the ratio is set to 25%, and you do 100 pts damage, you get 25 health (100 * .25 = 25).
* You will gain health up to either HealthMax or SuperHealthMax, whichever is greater.
Note: HealthMax is the standard maximum health you can have without powerups.
SuperHealthMax is the maximum health you can have with the shield power ups attached. The
defaults are HealthMax=100, SuperHealthMax=199.
* When your health is < 25, every time the bleed effect ticks, you will see a visible
blood spray and hear a grunt.
* Death string reads "playername's veins were bled dry".
This mutator should work with any other mutator that modifies the Max Health amounts, and
checks are in place to prevent health reflection by doing damage to yourself.
Known Issues to be fixed in version 2:
1) When you enter a vehicle or turret, the bleed effect stops.
2) The Timer doesn't shut off when you are in combat. There is a small chance that you may
bleed to death while in combat. I actually kind of like when that happens. It denies
your opponent the frag count. :)
