Warcraft 3 - Divine Right v1.0 Details
DIVINE RIGHT tells the tumultuous tale of races in conflict. The Sarenae believe themselves to be their god's chosen warriors, meant to freely conquer any and all they encounter. Many stand in their way, and yet the Sarenae must continue to wage war or else risk falling into disfavor with their gods. This sets the stage for a cataclysmic conflict to come.

THESE are some of the men and women whom you will follow in the exciting campaign story:

Name: Jarak the Swift
Age: 63
Race: Sarenae
Occupation: Battlemaster
Background: Though most would think that his nickname is a representation of his high speed, it is instead a reminder of his greatest failure. During “The Great Unification” Jarak’s clan was the final clan which was not yet subdued by Sahlis. During the final battle Between the Sahlis forces, and those of his clan, Jarak’s father Ysralk, told Jarak to go quickly and summon reinforcements. Jarak however, did not reach them in time, and his father was killed... along with several thousand of his clansman.

That day, the survivors of his clan nicknamed him “the swift” as a reminder of his greatest failure. Ever since, Jarak has been almost suicidal, attacking recklessly, fighting enemies without enough warriors. However he has succeeded in every task, no matter how improbable victory may have been. Eventually he grasped the attention of the Emperor, who promoted him to General. Although his new rank allowed him to stay away front the battles, he fights alongside the rest of his men, and whether he likes it or not, fortune always sides with him.

Name: Emperor Nujidas
Age: 65
Race: Sarenae
Rank: Emperor
Background: The son of the legendary warrior Sahlis, Nujidas is the first Emperor and founder of the Nation named after his father. Though originally prideful of his people, Nujidas eventually slips into depression and begins to lose faith in his people’s ability to please the gods. Although he is depressed, he has a zealous faith in his Gods, which he believes will come someday and remove all the troubles and place them in a Golden Age. His faith in the Gods, however, is also slipping.

Name: Rendall Siraji
Age: 28
Race: Elven (Jikras)
Rank: Jikrai Warrior
Background: The strong, cunning, reckless warrior hated by the Sarenae, and loved by the Elves of the Jikras woods. Rendall is from a new generation of Elves that has grown tired of the infighting that severely weakened his people before the beginning the Sarenae invasion. Rendall is the son of the relatively unknown Druid, Talis Siraji. However, his druidic ties do not stop him from helping his Elemental brethren, who live in Harpy Ridge.

Name: Talis Siraji
Age: 32
Race: Elven(Jikras)
Rank: Jikrai Warrior
Background: The father of Rendall Sriaji, Talis is not the greatest voice in Elven society, and is only respected because of his great druidic knowledge. Talis now leads a small band of druid in a fight against the Kraliks, whose numbers have been increasing daily.

Name: Askeli Skyfire
Age: 26
Race: Elven(Elemental)
Rank: Hybrid Mage
Background: Daughter of a great Elemental Mage, Askeli has always been encouraged to embrace magic. Although her Elemental brethren were disdained by her study of druidic magic, they rejoiced her magical prowess. When the Sarenae invaded the Jikras woods, she persuaded her brethren to aid the Druidic elves, and have peace. As the war dragged on, Askeli met and befriended Rendall Siraji. When the Sarenae invaded Harpy ridge, Rendall was there to halt their advance. Recently, their has been talk amongst the Elemental druids to attack the Sarenae deep within their own territory, and the leader of the elite force will be Askeli.

The Present State of the Races of Ascarlum

Sarenae:
Currently being the most powerful race on Ascarlum, the Sarenae discovered magic on the day legends describe as the ‘Arrival of the Gods.’ It was said that the Gods flew across the eastern sky, and disappeared above the Vigrid Plains of Ascarlum. As the Gods flew overhead, a shower of magic rained from their paths. The Sarenae harnessed this potent energy; unfortunately there was a limited amount of the "Magic Energy." Necromancy, the magic of death and resurrection, makes up the core of their magical practices. Lately, they have been able to control the dead in their spectral forms, paving the way for even more discoveries of magical nature.

The Sarenae are fanatically devoted to their Emperor. They believe that he was chosen by the Gods to lead the Sarenae to great victory and prosperity. Currently, they control the whole of northern Ascarlum, and have enslaved a number of more primitive creatures, most notably the Delthiens, who put up the most successful resistance when their lands in the North were conquered. Currently they aim to conquer the Elves of the Jikras Woods.

Adranti
The other powerful nation of Ascarlum is Adrantus (named this by the Sarenae). Even though the Adranti and Sarenae don't know, they worship the same Gods. The Adranti have begun moving into the fringes of Sahlis, and this makes Emperor Nujidas very worried. Besides information about their physical appearance, the Sarenae do not know much else about the Adranti. It is said that their magic is centered on lightning and water, but none can ever know for sure.

Elves:
These forest dwelling creatures have just begun moving out of a 30 year war against each other. Though infighting still remains, it happens less often. Their different approaches to magic have caused their infighting. The Elves in the Jikras Woods, are practitioners of Druidic Magic, while those of Harpy Ridge are practitioners of Elemental Magic. Their infighting has decimated their populations. 11 clans remain, 6 Jikras, and 5 Elemental.

Centaur:
The savage "beings" as the Sarenae call them have been appearing much more frequently on the most southern border. Though they usually appear in large coordinated groups, they move so swiftly that they can never be caught. Emperor Nujidas is convinced that the "beings" come from lands even beyond that of the Adranti, and thus fears them more. What worries him more is an alliance, which may form between the "beings" and the Adranti.

Kraliks:
These creatures, with their mighty fleets, invaded the Adranti Islands and have now mysteriously appeared on the outskirts of the Jikras Woods. They attack both Sarenae and Elven troops, and they can never be tracked down. And something that puzzles the Sarenae sages, is the Kraliks' apparent addiction to magic.
