Map is set in a fortiefied montain/desert town.
While this has nothing to do with Beirut, I used that title
because my popular cs map was also called cs_beirut, and both
maps have simular layout/gameplay.
(the orriginal map had nothing to do with beirut either but I had the
map idea after watching a movie with Chuck Norris who had to free hostages
in beirut :P )

The day/fogless version has better framerates and so is more suitable for larger servers.
