Description: Chex Trek: Beyond the Quest
Chex Quest was a total conversion for the original Doom that was distributed through specially marked packages of Chex cereal. All of the textures, weapons, monsters, items, etc... were changed to fit a theme that could be released in a cereal box, with the goal of creating a first person shooter that parents would allow their kids to play. Not only was there no killing involved in Chex Quest (that's right, no killing, the enemies are sent back to their own dimension) but there was also an educational value applied to the items. All health and armor items were replaced with bits of food and all sorts of balanced breakfasts.Chex Trek... beyond the quest aims to become a total conversion for Doom 3 that recreates the feel of the original Chex Quest game. Though the only level currently in the mod is a remake of the first level in Chex Quest, called The Landing, no other recreations will be made. Extract the Chex_0.01.zip into your Doom 3 folder. While in game, cick the MODS tab and select Chex Trek, in the console type: map e1m1

-To open doors, walk up to one and press 'E' or bind '_impulse16' to whatever you like.
-To view the overhead map press 'M' or bind '_impulse23' to whatever you like.
-To zoom the map out press '-' or bind '_button6' to whatever you like.
-To zoom the map in press '=' or bind '_button5' to whatever you like.
