INSOMNIAX SOUND PACK FOR DARK AGE OF CAMELOT

*I've updated the version to be in-line with Mythic's current patch to give you a general idea if it will work or not.

DESCRIPTION
===================================================================
This Sound Pack Adds sound events for some that didn't have any
before and replaces the majority of the game sounds (*.wav) with new
improved ones which were gathered, edited, sampled, mixed and tested
during close to two weeks to make sure they worked as intended, these
sounds are not low quality nor are they simply copied over, a lot of
work was put into making them fit the mood of the game as well as be
appropiate (you won't find any goofy sounds here).

High-lites of this Sound Pack :

* New Sounds for Musical Instruments - Real Medieval Instruments that
match the actual instrument (instead of a harp for a lute!)

* Majority of the spell sounds replaced with new ones, those that
weren't were edited for better sound (Hiss Removal, Smooth Ends, etc.)
and a few that didn't have a sound now have one (Cleric Instant AE)

* Majority of Monster sounds replaced with new ones

* Some new better ambience sounds

***** NEW FEATURES *****

* I've now included an easy to use Soundpack Launcher.

* There is now an easy to use Soundpack Editor! Make your own sounds, drop them in your own Soundpack, and play!

HOW IT WORKS

RUNNING THE SOUND PACK
====================================================================
1) Double-click the "DAOC Soundpack Launcher" icon on your desktop. This will fire up Camelot's patcher. As soon as the patcher is complete the launcher will copy in the new CSV files and then exit. It will not stay running after the login screen is brought up.

2) Log in and play

If Aliens take over Earth after you install this Sound Pack it is not my

CREDITS

All the work was done by me LedMirage, took about 2 weeks of playing
and tweaking while making my friends help me try out the sounds as well
as it came along. The Musical instrument sounds were found by my gaming
wife whom really couldn't stand the wannabe Lute Harp sound =)

Credit also goes to all the original authors of many of the sounds which
while very modified and edited were used as source material, you may be
able to recognize some of the sounds from other games, specially the
monster sounds as that is where I did the less editing of all.

Feel free to distribute this add-on as long as it is 100% free of
charge and the contents of the zip file remain unmodified. Enjoy :)

So you enjoy this Sound Pack a lot? Want to Help us out in one or another?
Then please tell Mythic that User Mods for sounds, GUI Images and music
should be supported =)

Oh and help us out in our crusade to making Mythic see that they have a
potentially big problem resulting in deletion of character due to renaming
them before a patch, our friend *IX*Medic739 (AbraKapokus in Guinevere) had
3 of his characters deleted when they were supposed to have been renamed
while his account was temporarily suspended (due to name violation), Mythic
says it was done on the user side and we know this isn't posible as it even
happened while the account was suspended and only the characters that the
CSR told him afterwards were renamed were the ones that got deleted only,
this happened mind you during the servers being down for the 1.44 patch.
