dod_qorhall is a Day of Defeat map that was designed for the clan The Queens Own Rifles back in April of 2001. QOR is officially no longer around and spanned from Wednesday January 17th, 2001 (just after the launch of the first beta of DoD) to Sunday July 21st, 2002. Some of the remaining members moved on with QOR's leaders Ross and Anneveld to a Battlefield 1942 clan. The main purpose of dod_qorhall was to provide an assembly hall in which we held promotions, awards and major announcements. dod_qorhall was updated in the spring of 2002 to include many new features most notably the hockey rink that was designed by slurm and myself. dod_qorhall has been updated again in April 2004 to fix some compatibility issues with retail Day of Defeat and further enhancements were done.

Some of the features included in dod_qorhall are: a main assembly hall with a stage, podium and seating area; a hockey rink with a working scoreboard; memorial grounds with headstones of all respected members that served with =QOR=; a basement with a tribute to the creators of the clan Ross and Anneveld; a diving platform that spans the maximum height allowed in a Half-Life map and arguably the highest jump around in DoD; a flag capture objective.

How the flag capture objective works is one side must proceed from their outpost up a road to the opposing side's outpost. Two members must successfully hold this point for five seconds to win the round. There is an alternate route which is a tunnel through the hill between both outposts. However it is blocked with debris and must be cleared with TNT that can be found somewhere else in the map.
