Installation UT4Mod:
Unzip & Double click on the UT4Mod file.
Installation Non-UT4Mod:
Place the following files in the System Folder
ONSChristmasV10.int
ONSChristmasV10.u
ONSChristmasV10.ucl
If you are running a server. Add the following line to the [Engine.GameEngine] section of your UT2004.ini file. The ServerPackages= lines tell the Unreal engine to insure that the players have these packages. Failure to do this will result in invisible flags for your players.
ServerPackages=ONSChristmasV10
Starting a Single Player Game:
Select an OnSlaught game type and Map then select the "ONS Christmas V1.0" mutator from the mutator's tab.
Starting a Server:
If you are running a Listen or Dedicated server from the UT2004 user interface. Select an OnSlaught game type and Map then select the "ONS Christmas V1.0" mutator from the mutator's tab.
If you are running a server via UCC.exe. Use a command line like the following to use ONSChristmasV10.
ucc server ONS-FrostBite.ut2?game=Onslaught.ONSOnslaughtGame?mutator=ONSChristmasV10.ONSChristmas
If using multiple mutators, separate them with commas as follows
ucc server ONS-FrostBite.ut2?game=Onslaught.ONSOnslaughtGame?mutator=ONSChristmasV10.ONSChristmas,CaptureTheTreeUT2004V13.CaptureTheTree
HTTP Redirect:
If you are using an HTTP redirect site for your server, download ONSChristmasV10.u.uz2 (683 KB) and copy it to your the HTTP redirect folder.
ONSChristmas Grinch Sound Options
ONSChristmas can optionally play sound snipets of the Grinch That Stole Christmas cartoon when major ONS events occur. To enable Grinch sounds, one of the ONSChristmasAnnouncer UAX files must be installed with the ONSChristmasV10 mutator.
There are 2 different ONSChristmasAnnouncer UAX files available. A High Quality (22kbps) UAX file (ONSChristmasAnnouncerHQ.uax - 5.2MB) and a Low Quality (8kbps) UAX file (ONSChristmasAnnouncerLQ.uax - less than 1MB).
If both UAX files are installed the HQ UAX file will be the default.
If neither of the UAX files are installed, there will be no Grinch sound snipets played for major ONS events.
Setup Sound Option:
Place one or both of the following files in the Sounds Folder
ONSChristmasAnnouncerHQ.uax
ONSChristmasAnnouncerLQ.uax
