If you're looking for a mod that adds flaslights to weapons, or increases your clip size this isn't the mod for you. This improves sound, ragdoll physics, skins, bodies gibbed, physics and other game technicalities.
Enhanced Doom improves on the game's technicalities, such as the ragdoll physics, weapon sounds, monster features etc. When Doom 3 was released, many people were disappointed because weapons lacked that oomph! sound, bodies always gibbed, physics not being shown properly etc. This mod aims to change what id has failed to do so. However, bear in mind that there will not be any changes made to the original gameplay that id has intended for players. If you're looking for mods that adds flashlights to weapons, or increasing clip size or rate of fire, then this isn't the mod for you
Version 0.2a of Enhanced Doom contains the following modifications:
- Boosted volume of Pinky's footsteps and roars to make him more fearful
- Boosted volume of zombies' idle chattering and speech on sight
- Modified the skins of the chainsaw, chaingun and machine gun. Chainsaw and machine gun look bloodier. While it's understandable why the chainsaw is bloody, I thought the machine gun should look a little bloody too, since it was what our dead comrades had been using ;) Chaingun looks silverish now. - Tweaked the physics system so that enemies can fly 2-3 metres with a nice shotgun blast, or in fact with any other weapon
