The "Art of War" Battlefield Vietnam custom multiplay map brings the US Cavalry to the seas off the coast of Vietnam for an island engagement that may prove costly.

The Vietcong have a mountain top stronghold on a volcanic island that the US brass would like to see secured. Resources are limited and the terrain treachorous but strong leadership could see the US forces victorious.

Whilst "Charlie" enjoys a relatively secure defensive position on a cliff top plateau the US must start their attack from a small island foothold using PT boats for their first offense.

Once on the main island the US can hope for limited resistance for one of the two flags if they catch Charlie on the hop, but then again.

With three flags in US hands tickets will start to fall to the benefit of the US, so Charlie can't sit tight for too long.

Fighting will go from beach to jungle, and from jungle to rugged mountain top ridges and plateaus. You'll need the help of all your specialists from the chopper and fighter pilots to the snipers and engineers if you wish to minimize casualties.

The map has a linear feel to it but with the ability to develop several strategies, aimed mainly to improve the clan war experience as well as variety from the usual stock maps.

I hope that this is going to prove itself as a strategic map giving the feel of a realistic conflict. Any vanilla Battlefield fans may think of this as Iwo Jima meets Omaha Beach.
