1.System Requirements

Minimum:

700 MHz Intel Pentium III or equivalent

128 Megabytes of RAM (256 MB for Windows XP and Windows 2000)

DirectX 9.0 Compatible 3D accelerated 32 MB video card or equivalent (see supported chipsets in section 8)

125 MB free hard disk space plus space for DirectX 9.0 installation

8X Speed CD-ROM/DVD-ROM

If you try to run the game without DirectX 9.0 installed, you will be prompted to upgrade before the game installation begins.

DirectX 9.0 can be found on the Microsoft website: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx

Note: If you already have DirectX 9.0 (or higher) installed, it is not necessary to reinstall it.

DirectX and supported hardware

We recommend that UEFA EURO 2004 DEMO be run with DirectX 9.0 compatible sound cards and video cards.

We also suggest you update your sound card and video card driver to the newest release from the vendor or chipset website.

3. Uninstalling UEFA EURO 2004 DEMO

The simplest method of uninstalling UEFA EURO 2004 DEMO is to use the "Uninstall UEFA EURO 2004 Demo" shortcut in the Start Menu (usually "Start Menu/All Programs/EA Sports/UEFA EURO 2004 Demo/Uninstall UEFA EURO 2004 Demo").

Windows also has an "Add/Remove Programs" Icon in the Control Panel that you can use to uninstall the game.

4. Memory Requirements

a.) Memory requirements in Windows

UEFA EURO 2004 DEMO requires a minimum of 128 MB of RAM to run the game (256 Mb is required for Windows XP and Windows 2000).

Note: The more system memory available, the better the game will perform in all areas.

b.) Running the game under stressful Windows conditions

At Electronic Arts we strive to bring you the best in graphics, audio and gameplay. We are always pushing the envelope of computer performance. While we have made every effort to ensure that UEFA EURO 2004 DEMO multi-tasks with all Windows applications, we recommend that you shut down other applications (including virus scanners) and run UEFA EURO 2004 DEMO by itself when possible.

We recommend that you let your operating system automatically manage the amount of virtual memory.

Defending:

Arrow Keys - Player Movement

A - Slide Tackle

S - Switch Player

D - Conservative Tackle

W - Keeper Charge

E - Sprint (HOLD)

Q - Call Second Defender

NOTE: the UEFA EURO 2004 DEMO is best played using a dual-stick analog controller. The functionality described here is mapped in a similar fashion on these controllers.

6. Mouse, Keyboard and Controller Functionality

You can use the mouse, keyboard or controller to navigate the game interface.

Once you are on the Side select screen, you must move whichever input device you plan to use in the game to the left or the right to select your team.

Please note that you may have to recalibrate your controllers in Windows in order to have the game detect them correctly.

We highly recommend the use of a 360º analog gamepad such as the Logitech(R) Dual Action(TM)

To bring up the in-game pause menus, you can press the Start button (if your gamepad has one) or press ESC.

7. Notes on Video Card Chipsets

If you are experiencing problems with your video card and UEFA EURO 2004 DEMO, try updating your video card driver by downloading the latest driver available from the video card manufacturer. If there is no improvement, try using the latest driver provided by the video chipset manufacturer. Your video card chipset is the video-processing chip located on your video card. If there is no information in your video card manual or website, check the video card for an identifying chip with the chipset manufacturer's name on it.

UEFA EURO 2004 DEMO supports Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME and Windows XP.

*NOTE - To install the game properly on Windows 2000/Windows XP, you will need administrator access to your machine. Consult your Windows 2000/Windows XP documentation for more information.

10. Data verification date

The player and team data used in UEFA EURO 2004 DEMO was verified for accuracy as of January 22nd, 2004. Any transfers or roster changes that occurred after this date may not be reflected in the game.
