DM Deadlands Details
Set in a creepy, worn-down house in the middle of nowhere. This map is perfect for survivor mode.

Authors' Notes: This is my first map, or at leat the first map
I've decided to release to the public. Like many first-time map
makers I had to get familiar with Dedit, so naturally more time was
spent on actually trying to figure out how the damn program works than
getting my original vision to reality.
The very original version I had was something like those Night of the
Living Dead movies. You know the ones, where there is a cottage in the
middle of nowhere, and all the occupants are cooped up inside while liegons
of zombies wait outside. I think this would have made for a really spooky
map if I could have only had custom made trees in there. Unfortunately I
could only put in a couple without the Lithtech processor freezing, and the
trees provided in the game resources I felt were too silly looking. I'm hoping
that the use of fog will still make this map creepy.
Since I had those Night of the Living Dead movies in mind while I was making
Deadlands, I would suggest giving it a try in survivor.

INSTALATION INTSTRUCTIONS
1) Create a folder in your AVP2 folder called "custom" if you don't already
have one.
2) In this custom folder create another folder called "worlds".
3) In the worlds create two folders called "multi" and "singleplayer".
4) In the multi folder create three more folders called "dm", "overrun" and "evac".
5) In the dm folder place the rez file deadlands.rez
4) Start up the game. When the picture of the queen pops up, press the options tab.
5) In the command-line box type "-rez custom\deadlands.rez"
6) Press okay and you're all set to go!
