New bots that pwn for Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix.


Hi all

Thanks to Kris (the creator of the mandown mod) I am able to bring you pwnBot,
a heavily modified version of Kris's crsbot. Now bear in mind that it has much added
functionality but is still a work in progress and is being released in this state due
to popular demand.

I have focused on CTF mode to begin with and all official CTF maps
(plus the excellent mp_subway) are supported and included in the pwnbotsctf.mapcycle file.
Some maps support inf/dem/dm but with mixed results - i am working on these gametypes and
some other stuff like OSP tokens and a new navigation system now.

Heres a rundown of the commands.

g_weaponmod 0 - Use normal outfitting.
g_weaponmod 1 - Knives only. (yes yes im working on barn :D)
g_weaponmod 2 - Knives and Pistols only.
g_weaponmod 3 - Knives and rockets only.

g_weaponmod also works with callvote and kicks in after the next respawn.

g_botskill (1-5) - 5 attempts to simulate the intensity of a clan match. 1 are wusses(ish).
you can change g_botskill ingame but it wont kick in until a map restart.

bot_minplayers (0-whatever your sys can handle) - takes effect straight away.

eg. bot_minplayers 5 will keep adding and removing bots to keep at least 5 players on
each team. or in deathmatch mode it will keep at least 5 players total.

NOTE: g_botskill, bot_minplayers and outfitting is "hardwired" into pwnBotCTF.mapcycle
FOR EACH MAP, so it will revert to whatever is in there when a new map loads - but if you
want you can either edit it or take it out of there completely, and just use the ones
in the server.cfg. This was done as some maps are easier than others when it comes to bots
and so you can have for example 6 a side with rpg enabled and skill 2 in the col maps and
7 skill 5 bots in Shop2 with no usas etc.

Damage, weapons etc are all at SOF2 1.03 Gold defaults.

This mod is 100% server-side so can be run with sv_allowdownload 0 and should run
with sv_pure 1 (I havent tried) and PB works (pb_sv_guidrelax 1 or 5 is recommended).

Whats new from the original crsbot:

Humans melding with bots fixed
bot_minplayers now keeps teams even after bots have all respawned once
bot_minplayers no longer kicks humans
bots kicked after each mapchange to stop them all going to 1 team/speccing
Coloured names in team games
bots attack (the WHOLE team dont need to guard the flag/case)
bots more strafey/accurate/quick/deadly..........
bots use team strats
bots use Scoped weapons properly
bots burst fire more realistically
mm1/rpg/nades enabled
all maps now have ctf waypoints
botroutes quantized to stop bots going the same way every time
bots now follow outfitting rules (disable_pickup_weapon....)
bots see/shoot leaners (probably the most important change)
turbo crouch, m203/mm1 aim wiggling fixed
bots throw knives :)
a single player in a bot game can call votes

and heaps of other things i cant think of at the moment.
