Change Log

Beta 3b changes:

Really fixed upgrade menu being empty for players who have downloaded the Sentinel from a server instead of installing it locally (I hope).

Beta 3a changes:

Fixed PepperPot 3rd person model being rotated 90 degrees under some circumstances.

Fixed some log spam.

Fixed upgrade menu being empty for players who have downloaded the Sentinel from a server instead of installing it locally.

Fixed human players automatically repairing Sentinels when standing close.

Altered method of determining whether an upgrade can be applied to ceiling or floor Sentinels, to make it easier for modders to make custom weapons for ceiling Sentinels.

Fixed a few miscellaneous bugs.

Beta 3 changes:

Disturber added.

PepperPot added.

Reduced ukx file size by quite a bit (and then increased it again by adding more weapons :( ).

Improved weapon skins.

Fixed Crispe beam lagging online.

Fixed Crispe beam always startign at wrong location when spectating in 1st person.

Fixed Crispe beam sometimes appearing at pickup location.

Changes to Sentinel:

Fixed 'accessed none' in projectile (no more log spam in online games).

Slightly increased explosion damage from destroyed Sentinels.

Improved method of detecting a sentinel in range of Deployer (no more not being able to repair because something silly like an emitter is in the way).

Added numerous upgrades, including new weapons.

Improved target detection, to reduce Sentinels ignoring enemies in plain sight.

Fixed ceiling Sentinel skin (how come no one noticed it was wrong?).

Added detail textures and environment maps to the skins.

Fixed a few miscellaneous bugs.

Reduced default max. Sentinel limit (because they can be more powerful now with upgrades).

Changed mutator options: Deployer always a default weapon. Ammo pickups now placed instead of deployer pickups.

Telefragging Sentinels now causes lots of damage to the telefragger.

Improved bot AI a little: They can now do repairs (and upgrading too), although they're somewhat haphazard about it.

Beta 2 changes:

Set a 'fallback material' for the scripted textures.

Fixed WoEArena mutator not giving infinite ammo to FireChucker secondary fire.

Tweaked sizes and positions of weapon models, both 1st and 3rd person.

Added small weapon support.

Added option to have Shield Gun to WoEArena mutator.

Discouraged bots from using Soar so much.

Discouraged bots from using Helios so much.

Fixed not switching away from PIC when ammo gone with the WoEArena mutator.

Changes since initial individual weapon releases:

Crispe:

Damage increased to bring it in line with the rest of the weapons.

Added battery status indicator to weapon model's display panel.

Fixed torch not switching off when changing weapons in multiplayer games.

CFX:

Headshots added.

Mostly fixed projectiles remaining after victim dies.

Tidied up code (it was my first weapon, and thus a bit messy!).

Slightly increased projectile collision size.

Slightly increased rate of fire.

Increased maximum ammo.

Reduced steepness of damage curve, i.e. it is no longer so useless to detonate only one or two darts in a victim.

Added beep sound when a pawn has been hit, to make it easier to count how many darts have stuck.

Parasite:

Fixed outer beam coil not appearing at low detail settings/ low fps (it should always be visible so you can see the beam against dark backgrounds).

Allowed primary to leech above 100 health, with diminishing returns

Increased health/adrenaline leeched by secondary.

Fyrian:

Fixed 1st person model lighting poorly.

Made wind-up heating exponential (starts high, then reduces), so more benefit from winding up with primary then switching.

Improved primary accuracy.

Improved handling of winding down (secondary no longer winds-down faster than is logical).

Added dynamic display of useful information to the weapon model's display panel.

Increased 1st person muzzle flash size.

Added icons (somehow got left out of the initial release).

FireChucker:

Compressed range of fireball sizes (small fireballs are stronger, large fireballs are weaker).

Changed default value of bNeverDropDetail to true, due to problem of flames disappearing on slower machines.

Helios/Steorra:

Made torso-shots slightly easier.

Both head and torso-shots on monsters are now easier (matches models a bit better now).

Added headshot announcements for killing monsters with a head-shot.

PIC:

Fixed PIC using same ammo as Ion Painter.

Fixed aiming not being straight.

Slightly increased firing speed.
