An image sharing utility that was originally created for Zip disks.
This software, which was freely downloadabe from 1999 to 2001 (when Win XP came out..it wasnt DIRECTLY compatable, but it works perfectly if you go to prperties, and set compatability mode to Windows 2000. then its compoatable with all Microsoft OS's from Win 95 OSR2 through XP, except Win NT (sorry) This photo suite, is a carrot that was supposed to make manipulating images on ZIP Disks easier than on a HDD (you CAN install this on your HDD..I did, it is GREAT there too!)
it has a slew of selections for input devices, including appx 48 pre-canned Digital cameras, though you can setup yopur own as an input if not listed. any Place on your HDD there is an Image thr inputting util can grab it and save it to ActiveShare's cache. You can do all std things, rorate, get red-eye out, etc, PLUS, you can hook into Web, and grab (watch out for copyright infringment)any photo/graphic you see.ActiveShare makes "Albums" of 16, 24, 36, 48, or 50 pictures.
these are all available from the tools in front..even if not on your computer! (Because its a Zip-disk specialist it doesnt excpect all piz to be present..if its isnt, it will prompt yoyu to either pint to the path to the pic, or insert Zip media with that pic. I cant begin to describe how useful this is..its incredible for a freeware utility
You can make slideshows set to music, filly configurable, adjust size of image so all in an album are the same size, add captions and a lot more, IF you download this you will be getting the best available Photo Util for Zip-DFisks, as wellas one of the best all-arounfd utilities even for HDD use...Its a shame Iomega took this off their site when win XP came out....not many at 1st understood "compatability
mose" and thought "if it works on Win 2000, it'll work on Win XP"
