ABOUT MIKEYS HOPE

Version 1 Mikeys Hope was my first serious map and unfortunately in my eyes was a failure, so I ripped it apart, cleaned up what I wanted to keep of it and created Version 2 followed by 2.1 (with a minor adjustment). So this is my first ever map release.

For my first map I wanted to recreate the LV426 Hadleys Hope experience from the film 'Aliens'. Obviously it's not 100% accurate but I must say it captures the general feeling, which I'm sure all of the Aliens fans will approve. ; )

I started learning how to use Dedit around December time 2002. Level design is something I've wanted to do for quite a while and it's taken me just short of 8 months to get this far.
It's taken up a Hell of a lot of my spare time and I've made a lot of mistakes along the way and learnt from them but I've got to say it's been worth it!

All this wouldn't have happened without a guy called 'Hunter' inspiring me to get involved and helping me to understand how Dedit works a bit further than the Tutorial explains. Cheers HUNT!
I must also thank my good friend Xenomorph for helping me play test and suggesting ideas and fixes. Thanx bud you ROCK! : D
