Data: Xerox Photostat's origin is only theorized at this point. As the story goes, there was a lavish Christmas party for the Liandri office personnel and a couple had just a little bit too much to drink. They stole off to the copy room for a little privacy. What happened next has puzzled scientists for 24 years. Apparently the couple was doing some "late night copying" when a major power surge struck the machine--both parties were killed instantly. Nine months later there was a paper jam in that same copier. A technician was called and it turned out to baby Xerox causing the jam.
