This article will concentrate on more advanced topics regarding programming in Jamagic (or programming in general in some matters). Although using the word "advanced" might be a little misleading, since nothing here really can be considered as “advanced programming” using the proper meaning of the word. Rather, I would say that it is a tutorial teaching slightly more advanced topics than the usual "Ten-things-you-should-know-in-order-to-write-your-own-Hello-world-app" tutorials available today. Hence, I will assume that you already do know the language Jamagic-Script, and that you are familiar with Jamagic as a programming environment. I think there are so many good tutorials out on the net covering this, so it’d be pretty pointless to go through all that again.

This document will contain quite a lot of material, some that you might already know, and (hopefully) some that you haven’t mastered yet. Also, many of the techniques described here are described in a general way, so rather than just looking at the Jamagic-specific parts of it, I will cover everything that is of use to you, no matter if they are supported in Jamagic or not. This is due to that I believe you will get a better understanding of the technique if you learn it as a whole. But I will always comment stuff that isn’t applicable to Jamagic so that you can easily see what you can and cannot use in your games.

But that’s enough about this, now we’ll want to get things started!
