Tank Mod
This mod is for those looking for a little more realism in the tank statistics.
changes the
following:
1) Trajectory for the Tiger is now correct (nearly line-of-sight, high velocity 88mm gun)
2) Trajectory for the PzKfw IVD is now correct (just like the Sherman, low velocity 75mm howitzer)
3) Trajectory for the M10 is more line-of-sight (halfway between the Sherman and Tiger traj's, 3 inch (76.2mm) converted AA Gun, medium velocity)
4) Speeds for the M10 and Priest have been increased (both were lighter and a little faster than the Sherman)
5) Hitpoints for the Priest and Wespe have been halved...these were SP artillery guns, NOT
tank destroyers (sheesh! They had a 1/2 inch of armor folks! You could practically spit through it!!!)
To make the modifications, use a program like RFAExplorer from www.bamsoft.org
This zip file contains the directory location of each file. Unzip (INCLUDING directories/folders!) it to any temp directory or to
your main 1942 directory - it makes no difference, just remember where you put it ;)
FOLLOW these instructions CAREFULLY!!! Some files have identical names but have different functions depending on the directory!
***!!!BEFORE you make ANY mods BACK-UP the objects.rfa file (It's located in the archive directory)!!!***

Open objects.rfa with RFAExplorer, expand the directory structure to Objects/Vehicles/Land
1-3 listed above: "Insert" the M10, Panzer, and Tiger "Weapons.con" files in their respective tank directories (i.e. objects/vehicles/land/m10/
gets the 1942/objects/vehicles/land/m10/Weapons.con file ). ***CHANGES TRAJECTORIES
4 above: "Insert" the M10 and Priest "Objects.con" files in the SAME directory as above (MAKE SURE they are NOT the files from the AI directory!...
(i.e. the M10 should get the 1942/objects/vehicles/land/m10/Objects.con file!). ***CHANGES SPEEDS
Expand each vehicle directory to include AI (i.e. objects/vehicles/land/m10/AI)
5 above: "Insert" the Priest and Wespe "Objects.con" files in their respective directories (This time make SURE it's the
1942/objects/vehicles/land/Priest/AI/Objects.con file!). ***CHANGES HITPOINTS
Now just close RFAExplorer and you're done!

This will not effect, nor be effected by, any changes you made to the BF1942.RFA file! (Changing spawn points and the like)
If anyone wants to create an auto-installer for the above I'd be VERY happy :))
